Map printer with username and password using : net use command?

Asked by rtronsta in Windows 2000 Operating System, Windows Networking, Network Management

Hi all :-)

I have a network, and I`m trying to connect to a printer on Machine B from machine A. They are both in the same workgroup
PC B is logged in as user / user
PC A is logged in as office / office

PC B has a printer that is shared as HP Lj1300

I find the printer when I browse my network  \\ws44a03\Hp Lj1300, but it says that access is denied.

When I log in as an administrator on PC A - the printer works fine.
When I log in as user/user on PC A the printer works fine
When I log in as office/office on PC A - I get Access Denied.

How can I map this printer with username and password?
Something like this: net use printer \\ws44a03\HP Lj1300 /user:user /password:user
Please help anyone :-)

Best regards
