That's what I was afraid of.
Is there any way around that? Before I came here, they only back up mailboxes, not the info store, and they didn't want to change that.

I'm seeing Event ID 454: Information Store (5424) First Storage Group: Database recovery/restore failed with unexpected error -4001.
And I'm seeing Event ID 9518 First Storage Group on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store.
Storage Group - Initialization of Jet failed.
I just looked and my Priv1.edb is saying 0KB. Freaking out a bit here!!
this is SBS 2003, I added the 2000 OS by mistake. Sorry!
Any suggestions?

One more question, it appears that the last full backup I can get for the mailboxes is back in September. yes, the mailboxes were being overwritten everday and I have no idea what happened to October's.
If i have the user's open Outlook, Export everything they have to a .pst, recover their mailboxes, then have them import the .pst from today, that will get everything back, right?
I'm sorry if that was confusing.

As I 'm looking at the instructions you sent don't really go through steps on how to create the recovery storage group and such.
Do you know of any locations where there are steps on what I need to do?
I have copied the priv and pub files to another location. Do I need to delete the stores in Exchange Sys Manager and then go through New?
