Windows 2003 Member Server can't join domain

I have an existing Active Directory which is hosted on a Windows 2000 server. I want to migrate to a Windows 2003 server. I am trying to join the Windows 2003 server to the domain. I get the following error:
The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "<myname>": the account is not authorized to log in from this station.

I am using the same administrator account that I can successfully joing Windows XP client machines to the domain.

What could be wrong?
