Check your NT install, win98 can be run on fat16 (it is noticably slower).
One other note: the oem cd that you purchased will probably not like being installed on a partition that already has an os installed.

You would have to create a partition in order to install Win98, because NT runs with either FAT16 or NTFS, neither of which are compatible with Win98 which uses FAT32. Even then, you may have a difficult time dual-booting unless you use System Commander or another 3rd party program to manage that. The short answer to your question is "No", but if you get System Commander, install it, create a Fat32 partition, then the answer is "maybe". As far as upgrading NT4.0 to Win98, that can't be done, unless you first fdisk, format and then install Win98 on a clean hard drive.
