Browse All TopicsOK I have a machine that is doing something I am not sure about, and don't like to much...
On it's start menu the machine doesn't automatically order entries, and I know that usualy this does happen, also the start menu once a column is filled up, rather than starting a new column it simply scrolls of the bottom of the page and gives a scroll arrow at the bottom that you can use.
I assume that these are setting somewhere but can't seem to find how to change them...

Part 1:
\Microsoft \Windows\C urrentVers ion\
1. Use Registry Editor, delete the binary value "Order" from the
following key and it's sub keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu\Menu
Part 2: The arrows instead of the cascading menu as far as I know cannot be changed due to the fact that this is a fuction of the windows desktop update which cannot be removed from Win98.
This was posted as a comment in case someone has a solution for part 2.
