well, it didnt really work
but i was looking in the autoexec bat and noticed this
path=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM;C:\
so i took out the ; a:\
and everything works fine.. thanks anyways

First of all disable any anti-virus that you have. If this fixs it, goto your display option in the control panel, and disable the screen scan option.
What I do, since I don't use the floppy drive anymore, I just put a command in my autoexec.bat file, subst c:\temp
Make sure you have a C:\temp dir.
