Sounds like the data or power cables came loose or went bad. Have you tried another IDE data cable? Is the drive spinning up even?

Browse All TopicsWD Caviar 136AA 13gb on a Pentium III system w/AX6BC motherboard, Award BIOS 1998 PnP FAT32 one partition. Has been working fine, but now I get a "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk & Press Enter". I can boot to a floppy, but can't access the hard drive. If I turn the computer off and on enough times, the hard drive will eventually boot and then run normally. Any suggestions? FYI, I've run a virus scan with the latest .dat's - no virus found.
