The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Network Neighborhood & Setup /D

Hello,

My Network Neighborhood icon suddenly disappeared from my desktop & Explorer.  TweakUI is checked to display it.  Gateway support recommended that I insert my Windows 98 disk and run "D:\Setup /D" to correct this problem.  They maintain that this will not causes any other problems, but simply correct problems like this one.  I don't want to suddenly find out that all my programs have to be reinstalled.  I've not been able to validate this 'overinstall' command "D:\SetUp /D", and it seems risky to me.

1.  What do you know about the "SetUp /D" command?  It is safe to use? Will it cause *any* problems to employ?
2.  How do I get my Network Neighborhood icon back again??  (Why did it go away?
