These are the compressed java librarys for the Windows java desktop and Explorer support. I know they take up space but if you delete them all kind of problems will develop. Most of he new Windows desktop works using Java and a compressed form of HTML, from help systems to the graphics of your hard drive space.

I would recommend against it. If my thinking is correct, these are the class files that the Windows Java subsystem (and consequently, Internet Explorer) uses to run Java applets.
