  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. A Drive gone on Format

Asked by Form_Glow in Windows 98 Operating System

I have an old 75 mhz that I added ram to.....fine.
Now I decide to format and re-install Windows 95.
I format C:
My restore disks require a floppy to restore.
The floppy is gone!...I can't restore.
Setup tells me that it is not installed (when I know it WAS working fine)
Now on boot....I get Floppy Failure..invalid system disk, hit F1 to enter setup or esc to boot.
If I hit esc...I get invalid system disk.
How can I cure this?
