I want to download ie6 for all o/s(win98/winme/winnt/win2000). I'm using win98. When I went to the site and download it is only downloading ie6 for only win98. is there any way?

You can only download for what's on your pc.
Dowload customized to what windows reads on your machine.
MS wants to sell you a cg for what you want.
May be easier to just buy a pc mag with a disk that has it.

Download-Only Setup of Internet Explorer on Windows 2000 and Windows XP

Or you can download the preload program of ie6setup.exe (497KB).
Then click the ie6setup.exe.
select install mininum and at the advanced option, select "download only".
Then you can view four versions.
[x]Win98
[x]WMe
[x]WNT
[x]W2000and WXP

Download it to your designated directory/folder.

How to Download Internet Explorer the Right Way

From Bink's site:
http://www.bink.nu/ie6/

 This is an active setup and will only download components you select for your OS. (this is for win2k only!)

To download the whole code for all Windows versions you need to use a special command.

First create a folder c:\ie6,

then download the above file to that folder

Start the run dialog and type this command WITH quotes!!

"C:\ie6\ie6setup.exe" /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d /s:""#E"

I understood that the whole bunch of files for ie6 was about 75 megs and the download was 53.
Any idea what extra may be on the cd?
