Specialize Bartsmit seems to have cover most of the basics there with that list.  The only undelete utilty that Win98 has isn't really and undelete utility anyways, it's the recycle bin.  However using one of the third party programs that Bartsmit suggested might help you out some.

But in most cases you need the utility installed before you delete a file and then try to recover it.

I use this and it can be installed after, however, minimal use of computer needs to be done until you run it as the windows swap file etc will rewrite over and you may not be able to recover all. This program is great and recovered data back to 1993, don't think the computer was used much it recovered 4200 files.

Hello all,
I am eecomputings, a Moderator at Experts-Exchange and also an Expert within this topic area.
