Can I go back to windows 98 from XP?

If i had windows 98 on my computer, then I installed XP, is there a way to go back to windows 98 from windows XP without reinstalling windows 98?

  No, you cannot go back to Windows 98 after installing Windows XP. You will have to reformat and reinstall Windows 98

   If you install Windows XP over Windows 98, you may be able to uninstall it using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Unfortunately, the uninstall feature typically doesn't work or leaves the computer in an unusable state. If you did a clean install, then you will have to reformat and reinstall.
