If you install Windows XP over Windows 98, you may be able to uninstall it using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Unfortunately, the uninstall feature typically doesn't work or leaves the computer in an unusable state. If you did a clean install, then you will have to reformat and reinstall.
