The Windows folder is eating up 1.2 gb. I really only use Word and Excel and I've cleaned up the Temp and Temporary Internet folders, plus those extra IE5 folders that duplicate files. I can account for a handful of miscellaneous programs I use and the swap file is obly 100-150 mb.
I've got a 4 year old laptop and need the hard drive space, so what can I get rid of? It seems unlikely that windows needs a gig to run, I've uninstalled everything that's clearly superfluous but I've afraid to remove system files (or "nearly-system" files), are there any likely culprits with which Microsoft is merely poisoning my harddrive?
