Question
Infected Files from Trojan.Bootconf and Trojan.StartPage viruses
I have four files which have been attacked by the above viruses and I need to replace them on my system. Where do I find the files?
C:\Windows\Syst\Bootconf.e
C:\ProgramFiles\Com\msinfo
C:\Windows\default.css
C:\Windows\Web\oslogo.bmp
This is on Windows 98 - Second Edition

Use CW Shredder to remove the trojans.

tried with all the basic steps like deleting the temp files, and temporary internet files, and make start page as about blank
still it is not resolved
checked with the registry entries and even that also did not resolve the issue
like modifed all the entries in registry that are related with start up page
still the hizaker is there in front page
can you please find the solution for this

Get msinfo from the system file checker.
Description of the System File Checker Tool (Sfc.exe)

To start System File Checker, follow these steps:
Click Start , point to Programs , point to Accessories , point to System Tools , click System Information , and then click System File Checker on the Tools menu.
Click one of the following options:
Extract One File From Installation Disk
NOTE : If you click Extract One File From Installation Disk , you can specify the file you want to extract.

Look for the other files callout in win.ini and remove them

oslogo.bmp is part of Bootconf virus. you can remove it by following the instruction below
