Browse All TopicsI've just built a new puter with a Hsin-Teck motherboard with a VIA VT82C694A Appolo Pro133 Chipset.
System Chipset model VT82C601 Appolo PLE
front side bus speed 1x133MHz(133MHz data rate)
Max FSB Speed/Max Memory 1x133MHz/1x133MHz
The motherboard manual says I can install a 512 mem chip in each slot for a total of 1 Gig mem
I installed a 512 SDRAM chip and the puter tells me that it is only a 256 mem chip
Using SiSoft Sandra tells me that out of 4 banks of possible memory only one is detected at bank 2 of 256 mem
Banks 1/3 & 4 are empty
Is this chip not compatible or is there something wrong with my MOBO settings?
