  • The Feedback of the Community

Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. internal cd rom

hi  , I jus installed windows 98 in my ctx 700e  laptop  , during boot up it did not detect  the cd rom , at fist it did , but then it just did not detect the cd rom any more , so I had  to install win98 from an external cd rom drive , my question is did I do something wrong ,or did the internal cd rom  just broke  during the process of installing win98 , when I press the eject button in the internal cd rom it works , so , it is a swappable internal drive , but if it responds to the eject button , it is not completely deth , I think ??? what can I do to find out if the  internal drive has to be replace , or if there is anything that  can do to fix it , thanks
