The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Windows Netmeeting video

Asked by flubbster in Windows 98 Operating System

Tags: , , ,

Greetings all. I have a strange problem that is really bugging me. The system is an Acer PII 400 running W98 SE. I use Netmeeting to converse with some relatives in Italy and my wife uses it to speak to her cousins in California. We have never had any problems with it and have used it for years trouble free. It still works "fine", with the exception of the size of the video shown. I am referring to "our" video. The video has always filled the video box, edge to edge. Last night, when we turned it on, our video was being shown with a black border around it. No matter what I tried, I could not get it to the way it used to be. I checked and re-checked the settings of the cam itself, which Netmeeting uses. I tried different image sizes to no avail. Changing the video size on Netmeeting just makes the entire "box" that the video appears in larger. This is driving me nuts. Is there some hidden setting, maybe in the Registry that controls this? It has always filled the box from the day I first started using it. The camera has not been changed, neither has its' settings. All Netmeeting settings are as they always were. This is not earthshaking, more like an itch that you can't scratch lol. Please... someone help me scratch this sucker!!!!!!!! lol

Thanks.... and Happy Holidays to you all.Start Free Trial
