How to get a pcmcia card workin in windows 98?

I have windows 98 A version and have a de660+ dlink network pcmcia card ...Thru device manager it shows as being installed as Dlink de-660+ but when i do "winipcfg" i have dial up adator and "Pcmcia network adaptor" it doesnt show as a dlink adaptor and i only get a 169.x.x.x internal address...It is dhcp from my router. Im gonna try to reinstall the drive..
The card beeps and does show the texas instrument socket services installed in device manager.

just to mention the laptop is a compaq presario 1700 series model 17xl262...and i have texas instruments bus controller installed..mayb missing somethin here

is that number correct? could not find anything like de660+ on their site :http://www.dlink.com/search/?qry=de-660%2B

yeah it is ...i called dlink but its no longer supported...checked both us and canada channels. Just no longer carried nor shown.
