Question

can't cut, copy,paste file

dear all!
i don't know what happen to my PC. I can't copy paste or cut file or folder from C drive to D drive and vice versa.
I'm using Kaspersky internet security 2010. and i scanned disk every day for antivirus.
I tried to search the internet for solution but no solution can help me.
Thanks a lot.

had you try to do system restore?

you are using windows 98?

You list Windows 98 and WIndows XP.  Which one are you using ?
Are the C: and D: on the same hard disk or seperate hard disks ?
Are they both hard disks ?  or is D: something else like USB or a CDRom ?

First step.  Disable the anti virus software for a few minutes to test it.  Try again.

Second step. Try a different way.  If you use the keyboard (Ctrl X/C/V) then use the mouse and right click or use the menu 'edit / cut' etc.

Check neither disk is full.  
Check both disks are writeable by creating a little text file on each.

check to see that the Clipboard service is enabled. go to START , RUN, Type Services.msc. Look for clipboard and make sure its automatic, and enabled, and started.

It may well be the Clipboard service as already suggested, and you may want to download GetOpenClipboardWindow.zip from here>

Unzip and run the tool then you can post back the report.  Hopefully it will report what PID is running.

Have noted that you used Kaspersky internet security 2010, but did you also include scanning for Malware?  
You may want to download then update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:

When updated, reboot into Safe Mode by selecting F8 at bootup & run a scan.

First try the suggestion suggested by other user above if still having problem try to use teracopy

Note:As this type of problem is mainly due to clipboard service is not running

yes.i uninstalled teracopy, and restart. Install teracopy again, and it work now, i really don't know why.

Security software has to track every copy or file access as you work.
As you add or remove things the KIS (or its various brothers and sisters) can loose their hooks into the OS for file access.  A reinstall (or sometimes the software has a repair option) can fix this.
Its normally worth a full system scan after this just to make sure it was not 'evil' software unhooking it.

Have you been able to run Malwarebytes, also have you considered upgrading XP SP 2 to SP 3 ?
