If you notice IMMEDIATELY you can use EDIT-UNDO from Explorer - otherwise you will have to
a) Recover the files from a backup
b) Recover files using volume shadow copy (Windows 2003/8 servers only)
c) use a 3rd party tool.
If you use a 3rd party tool then a few words of precaution
Avoid writing to the disk that contains the files until they have been recovered, the more writing that is done to the disk the greater the chnace that the files will be overwritten can will not be able to be recovered.
Don't install the 3rd party tools on the disk where the files are, otherwise installing them my well overwrite the files you are seeking to recover.
