It may or may not be due to a "Boot Sector Virus". It could be the result of an anti-malware program that is set to protect the Master Boot Record of the hard drive, and something other than a virus is corrupting it.
Personally speaking, the next time the system boots, I would back up as many files and settings as you can, run FDISK /MBR again, then fully repartition and format the hard drive again to install Windows freshly.
Alternatively, if you aren't ready for that type of drastic action, the next time you get the system booted check out any "protection" type applications that may prevent access to the MBR to see if this could be contributing to the error.
You should also consider that your hard drive could be on the verge of failing completely. It would be a good idea to run a Drive Fitness Test on the hard drive by creating a Boot Disk using the download designed for your make and model of hard drive. There are some links here:
