The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Problem with System Information (  MSINFO32 )

Asked by centore in Windows ME Operating System

Tags: 2003, msinfo32

Hello,

I have an unusual error message which is the same error message reported on this message board on 212 April 2003 ( link : http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/WinME/Q_20591604.html ).

I have tried the things suggested back there to no avail. The problem went away for the previous person reporting this after using System Restore. I can't do this as it happened immediately following a reformat and installation of Win ME and the rest of my programs.

It's this function : MSINFO32

The screen I get says a few things :-

"Sorry, wrong option : (null )

Valid options

launch to default page
-RegServer Register the application
-UnRegServer UnRegister the application
-Collect :exec scheduled data collection
-Url : Navigate to a particular page

None of that makes sense to me other than it doesn't work.

I auto installed from the original CD and updated Win ME at the MSN site so I don't understand the register/unregister stuff. I have also upgraded Acrobat to Version 6.

Can you make any sense of this? I've never seen a screen like this previously, it's quite small and headed " Help and Support Usage ".

Appreciate any help as I just can't fix it!!

Thanks
