I have here a clients machine running Windows ME. When I try to launch Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer, in fact any windows based program like Recycle bin e.t.c., I get an error message which reads(in the case of clicking on Internet Explorer):-
IExplore has caused an error in MSVCRT.dll
IExplore will now close
Any program which relies on Windows explorer behaves in the same way.
I can't re-install Windows ME as the customer hasn't got any back or installation disks, I can't copy a replacement file across in Windows as I can't browse the floppy drive or anything. Obviously I could copy across the dll file in command pprompt but does anyone know which directory it should be copied into?
Any quick fixes to this?
