The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Changed motherboard - NT now 'blue screens' with Registry_Error!

Help....this question is worth 25pts or 250pts (read on)

#$%@!  I suspected something like this would happen.

This is what I've done:
1. Ghosted my 1.7gb drive to a 4gb drive (1 NTFS part)
2. Changed motherboard from Intel (AN440TX) Pentium 166MHz to an Intel (SE440BX) Pentium II 233MHz board
3. RAM stayed the same (64mb).... (more on this)
4. Booted system.... where NT 4 (sp 3) displays total RAM, it thinks there is 96mb of RAM!!
5. After about a long 2 minutes of displaying the splash Win NT logo, the system finally 'blue screens'  with Registry_Error.  
6. Rebooting a second time (turned PnP on in BIOS but doubt that affected the boot), still incorrectly displays 96mb RAM and now (almost instantly) 'blue screens' with INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE.   %$@#! (sorry - I'm really annoyed)

Is there any fix for this (I mean make this system work again)?    Both the incorrect RAM display and the 'blue screen' are the issues.

50 pts for a no answer with explaination *OR*  250 pts for a yes answer with details that really work!!

Please don't tell me that I must start over again!!   Oh God, that will mean that I'll have to begin hating MS all over again!
