Partition problems

Here is my dilemma, I have a server that has two partitions on it, the system partition being about 1Gig in size with only about 80 meg remaining, and the other partition being about 9Gig in size with about 8Gig remaining, yes, I realize that this was pretty dumb, I can safely say, that I didn't set it up, but I need to add space to my system partition and i need to do it pretty quickly. I had thought that I could do it through the disk administrator, but doesn't look as though I can, we also had thought of doing with Partition Magic, but have heard that can be risky. I have deleted all unecessary files and programs from the system partition, was wondering if you could tell me anything that might help.
