Map drive on Win98

Asked by dong in Windows NT Operating System

Tags: , ,

I have a Window NT4 server configured as a PDC called "Server". On the C drive of the server, I have a directory called "Data" and inside this directory there are four directories called "Dev", "Mar", "Admin" and "Op". I have shared the "Data" directory and allow everyone full control access. The NTFS permission for the Data directory and any directories inside it is full control as well. Now I tried to map F: drive to \\Server\Data\Dev from a Win98 workstation, but the result shows that F: is actually mapped to \\Server\Data NOT \\Server\Data\Dev. I tried the same thing on a Win2000 workstation and it works fine. Can anyone tell me how to get around this problem.Start Free Trial
