Hard Drive error

I recently had my hp pavillion laptop stollen.  I'm almost positive the one I have in my possession now is mine, but everything has been deleted.  I put in the recovery disk that came with my computer and it says error wrong disk.  Right now I have the computer to were when I turn it on I have some options such as start in safe mode; last known good configuration; debugging; ect.  When I choose any of them it will start to load and a screensaver will show, then it goes blank and starts at the options again.  Is there any way of getting it to load so that I can see if it is my computer?Start Free Trial
