NT AUTHORITY Accounts

Asked by kliler in Windows NT Operating System, Windows NT Networking, Windows Network Security

Tags: , ,

i am using xcacls to add full permissions for the network service account on some files. I put "xcaxls C:\\test /e /g network service:f" in the command prompt. This seems to work except the permissions account comes up as SERVICE on the file. Is NT AUTHORITY\service the same as NT AUTHORITY\networkservice?

i also tried putting networkservice with out a space in but this couldnt be found.

Thanks
