The Release Note at 3Coms's site doesn't seem to effect me,
because I don't have a multiprocessor system (only one P133).
"3Com has observed occasional system shutdowns on some multiprocessor servers (servers with more than one CPU)"
Their were no disk supplied with the network card,
but a friend of mine helped me
to find a driver at 3Com's site.
3C90XX.EXE,970409,1944437,
V2.1 Etherdisk for the 3C90x Etherlink XL NIC
This far it works ok.

Is the page at 3com explaining about the problem with NT4.
3c90x.sys is the driver and you should find it on the driver disk supplied with the card. If you are in NT4 you may need to open the drive folder and choose [View]options->show all files so you can see the .sys and .dll files on the floppy. They may not be shown as an item on the installation program.
