NO, FAT could only be formatted into 2GB. Only FAT32 could be formatted into 4GB but NT would not reconized FAT32. Since you your installing NT your choice will be to have 2GB partitions (2048).

Maximum FAT partition size?
Can anyone tell me the maximum size I can format a partition with FAT? I think it was around 4 gb, is this right? Thanks

That's not exactly true!
If you are talking FAT32, you are not talking NT, as FAT32 is not supported by NT.
But, FAT volumes CAN be formatted up to the 4 GBytes range on NT hosted volumes, but only 2 GBytes on DOS hosted volumes. Hence, if you want to be able to dualboot FAT volumes with Windows 95 and DOS, you should keep the maximum size to less than or equal 2 GBytes. Actually, you shouldn't make FAT volumes larger than about 200 Mbytes, as the performance is better with NTFS on larger volumes.
