Browse All TopicsHi,
Q1. My computer gave me this problem today. What does this mean, and how can it be resolved?
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0x2d2d2d2d, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x2d2d2d2d). Microsoft Windows NT [v15.1381]. A full dump was not saved.
Q2. Also, my computer takes a lot of time (approximately 20-25 secs) between NT login (with ID and password) to showing the icons (regular green screen). Why is this so, and how can I make it work faster?
Q3. Also, yesterday, my computer showed this problem.
The device, \Device\ScsiPort1, did not respond within the timeout period.
What does this also mean, and how can I make this not occur again in the future?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Shabmud

Q3. Go to the MS site support.microsoft.com and search for the knowledgebase article Q259237. It deals with server clusters, but this particular error isn't in regard to a cluster. Just a potential SCSI issue.
Q2. Lots of things are initializing at this time. The process Explorer.exe is responsible for getting your desktop loaded. Sounds to me like this is just a normal thing. Personally 20-25 seconds isn't that bad, but then I have a slow computer.
Q1. Don't know - can of RAID anyone?? :-) Sorry, had to do that!
R.E. Q1 - This error means that the Windows Updates don't match between your client and RIS server image. So the simple answer is to make them same.
If you copy the NTOSKRNL.EXE from the client (pc being imaged) and copy it into the RIS image folder on your RIS server, you will find it works a treat.
Hope this is of help.
