setup a laptop to work in different network domain

Asked by simonlai in Miscellaneous Networking, Windows NT Setup

Tags: laptop, user, account, multiple domain

we have 3 office situated in different countries, each has it own LAN using their own domain. There are no trust setup between the office LAN. Each setup has its own file server and app servers.

We have a user who will be travelling to the 3 locations frequently. I know that we can't configure a laptop with window XP to login to either of the 3 domains while the user is there, the user would need to join the domain first. This is not a good solution as the user would then have 3 different profiles for his login to either LAN, and the setup might be too troublesome and confusing for the user.

I have heard of solution like netswitcher, but do not know how effective is the software in handling this type of setup.

Can I know if there are anyone who has successfully implemented such setup, and how do you implement it?

Appreciate it if a solution can be provided.

thanks and best regards
