AutoCAD 2006 and Vista
Is there a way to make AutoCAD 2006 work on a new Windows Vista machine?  The operating system warned when we upgraded that AutoCAD 2006 would not be able to run properly but we wanted to check if maybe someone was able to change some settings to get AutoCAD 2006 to work on a Vista business Machine.  Any assistance offered would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the work around.

The above solution works if you have CAD files installed locally, however if you are accessing CAD files located on another PC or server, you will encounter problems when trying to connect - as you will be trying to connect as administrator, when you are logged in as another user.

An alternative to this is to Disable UAC in Vista. You can do this by:
Control Panel --> User Accounts --> User Account: then clear the check box beside "Turn on User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more secure".

This will also stop the notifications you receive asking you are you sure you want to take certain actions, after you click on them.
