Browse All TopicsHeres my problem; every few months one or two of my Windows 2000 users will log in and there normal profile does not load. Instead the user gets logged in as C:\Documents and Settings\username.DOMAIN, which acts as if its a first time user and they lose all there profile settings. (desktop, shortcuts, outlook exchange, etc...) Normally i drag and drop all there stuff from the old profile to the new, just to get around the problem, however i have not been able to target an explanation for this problem. The error log does not indicate any errors associated with log in issues. Does anyone know why windows is forcing the user to create a new profile with the domain name included, if so how can i avoid this problem. Thanks again for any replies
