Hi there,
I would firstly look at microsofts method on this. (No update for R2 version on the TechNet pages)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sbs/2003/plan/gsg/default.mspx
Then I would also look at getting "Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 Unleashed" as its a good indepth guide to setting up SBS 2003 with dditional information on seceltions and impacts of doing things wrong.

Okay so I have a few tips to start, the next thing is what information will I need to sort email and internet setting for tge server? I mean I have a ISP and router with a juniper fiirewall. What I need to know is what will I need to set up the server?
You setup the connection with the CEICW(Configure E-Mail and Internet Connection Wizard) this deals with the email and internet for the SBS network, and should be outlined in the MS Getting started guide. Depending if your on a 1 NIC or 2 NIC server will effeect in what way you connect the server to the internet, although it is recommendede you use the 2 NIC method of  Internet---Router/Firewall ---Externa l(NIC)-SBS -Internal( NIC)---Swi tch Please read through the guide first before setting up and then as leew says best practice is to have 1 or 2 test installs before going with a final setup.

I would suggest reviewing the links I provided and doing the test installs. Â Take it a step further and buy a second domain (they are only $10 through various sources and .info domains can be under $3) Â Then get one of the test installs working with that. Â This way, you know what your doing for the important thing - your real domain.
If the router is UPnP capable, SBS will set it up for you.

Okay my last stupid question. I would like to know with email should I point he domain to the server or let excnage to collect po3 instead? Or have I miss understood everything!!
You still point it towards your own domain, but if using pop connector be sure to select it in the wizard

Hi one more question please. I would like to know why the Standard version and Premium differ in the to do list function. In the standards version you dont get a list like in premium version!! Can you help?
The "To Do List" should be the first item listed on the left when you run the "Server Management" utility in either the Standard or Premium version of Small Business Server 2003.
