How do I display a login banner for RDP users?
Hello,
Windows Server 2003 and XP Clients.
I want to display a login banner message to users using RDP, to Log Off of their sesssion rather than Disconnect, as I only have two available connections.
Thanks

I tried the link, but it is not working.
I applied it to the entire domain using a GPO.
This applies to Terminal Services / RDP clients.
Thanks

I checked the Local Policy of a server on a Domain, and it has inherited the GPO from the Domain, but it does not work.
The setting on the LOCAL computer is as follows: (per gpedit.msc)
Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options -> Interactive Logon: Message Text for usrs attempting to log on -> MY MESSAGE.
why isnt this working? ;(

I don't believe the standard method people are mentioning above applies to RDP logins... only to local console logins. I tested it and can verify what cliffordgormley is seeing: The typical login banner GPO setting does not appear to affect RDP logins, only local logins.
The instructions for doing it are at the same link Brugh provided above.
