how do "Font Managers" work?

Asked by Wael23 in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Windows XP Operating System

Hi,

How do font mangers do their work internally to mange fonts?

Meaning, do they delete, copy or move fonts in or out the XP font folders?
Do they manipulate the registry?
