Vista Ultimate/XP networking problem.

Tags: Microsoft, Windows, Vista/XP, Networking problem

Setup;
Dynex 5 port switch
Westell Wirespeed modem
2 XP machines (SP3)
1 Vista Ultimate (SP1)

Config;
Each machine has it's -own- IP from our internet provider. (I can't stand routers) They do ten to get different subnets and such.
The modem is -not- connected VIA uplink to the switch. (Not configured as a router)

Problem;
Vista and XP don't talk, at all.
I -can- ping the IP's of each machine, Vista -> XP, XP -> XP, XP-> Vista.
I -cannot- ping machine names from or to Vista. XP -> XP work fine.
I -only- get 'Windows Cannot find \\machine. IP doesn't work either.

Already Tried;
Lan Manager Auth Level (Security Policy)
Disabling TCP 6.
Enabling Guest Account
Logins are available on all Machines.
Workgroup names are the -same-.
Enabling NetBios VIA TCP
Misc other settings.

Other notes;
Firewalls have been -turned off-.
No 3rd party firewalls.
AVG is running on Vista.
Avast on one XP Machine.
Nothing on last XP Machine.

Vista Network Settings;
Private
Everything but Printer sharing, and password protected sharing is -on-.
Workgroup is the same as XP machines.
I have a folder shared. XP machines also have folders shared.

Only other issue, is I cannot install the LLTD on the XP Machines (Windows state that it is a part of a previous update), and I cannot find any reference to it on the machine. (Adapter Properties or CP)

So after fighting with this for the past week, I cannot get networking up, and it's driving me nuts. Help/Advise Please!

Thanks,
