http://www.experts-exchang
Applying the Hotfix for icacls.exe on Server2003 SP2 did not fix the issue.
I noticed that there were Unknow accounts in the sceurity properties in my test environment. I was testing Student User Creation, and deleted the 85,000 students my scripts had created. Then I wanted to recreate the students and asssign them rights to the exiasting home directories, but was getting the "no mapping between" error with ocacls.exe.
Using subinacl.exe as described in the article referenced above:
subinacl /subdirectories c:\*.* /cleandeletedsidsfrom=MYDO
I was able to remove all the Account Unknown from the student folders and assign rights to the recreated students.
So, to make a long story short, I'm posting this for others who may run into the same issue. Points to the first reply.
