Browse All TopicsRemote desktop users have a grid visible on their desktop that runs through all the icons and applications. However when I log onto the server the grid is no where to be seen. My question is...how do I remove or hide the grid for the Remote users?

You are right in that it can be installed but when I check the version of RDP on Windows 2000 Pro I find that it is version 5.1.
What I found is that if I un-install the RDP Client and then re-install it that the grid goes away. I will be watching for patches that might affect this though. I think that Chris Marino (above) has a good point.

That's not normal. Is this happening with 1 user specifically? Can you cause the same thing to happen from another computer? It may be that users computer resolution is messed up or the drivers are corrupted/uninstalled for his video card.
