Browse All TopicsI need to execute a binary at boot, before the first service. The easiest way I can see to doing this is adding it as a service and then telling windows that the first service is dependent on it, only trouble is I can't work out which service starts first. Does anyone know?

I would guess that all services without dependents are started together.

I do not think a service is what you want.
maybe root kit, or device driver.
services are in the registry. don't know if you can control what order they start.
