Have you tried to download them separately and perform install this way?
What is the version of Windows and are these updates really required ?

Description of the Remote Desktop Protocol 8.0 update for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
http://support.microsoft.com/KB/2592687

and for KB2577419 - I get this on the MS site There are no documents that match your search for "2577419"

Also check in Add\remove Programs

@Rancy - Try KB2574819 instead of KB2577419.  (Apparently there was a typo the second time the number was typed, and a valid number appears in the title.)

@pcorathers - Do you get an error message on the screen, or in %systemroot%\WindowsUpdate.log ?
pcorathers--As has been asked, do you really need this update?  Or putting it another way, does this update really apply to your system?

You can find these Updates on MS Download Center page and download them separately. Then install manually. Have you tried this?

"they come up when I run "windows update"".

Windows Update can make mistakes when recommending updates.  Updates that are not needed can sometimes be offered.  That is why we asked if you really need  these updates.
Based on the screenshot of your Update History,
KB2574819 is installed, so no longer a problem.
KB2592687 is an "Optional" update and it seems is no longer being offered.
The only real problem is KB2685811 and always fails.  It is Recommended, not Important.  Have you looked in Control Panel|Programs and Features to confirm it is not already installed?  Alternatively look here

If not installed, have you tried installing all by itself using a download from
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=KB2685811 (the first is for Win 7 32 bit, and the second is for 64 bit)

However you should be aware that others are having problems installing both KB2685811 and KB2592687

Try installing from a Clean Boot.

Do you use Norton Security?  Perhaps disable when you run Windows Updates.
I am sorry, I had some medical issues so have not been able to look at this I need tosee if any of this will work as it keeps trying to install and fails everytime I boot up, Is there any way to stop that?

I am sorry, I have been up to eyeballs with a lot of other issues, and have not had the time to work on this since it does not seem to be critical. I have accepted a solution which looks like the best, and I have to put it off till the new year, there is just too much stuff going on in office and with my health right now. If need be I will reopen and follow up in the new year if I need to you.
