Free... well, I am sure that all the people who spent time writing the code for this software, would not mind at all if you got it for free... they do it mostly for fun anyway... now that the Internet craze is toast. I would suggest that you call Microsoft, and have them ship out a box of their software... free of course
Maybe yo can try to install openoffice. It's free. I'm not sure it'll work on Windows 3.x but you can try. You'll find the software here:
