I have a compaq prolinea 4/33. I need to edit the bios and can't get into it. I can get into setup by hitting f10 at boot up, but everyone tells me I need to get into the bios. I am trying to set this one up from scratch, but it won't read anything correctly that I try to load on it. I have taken it it clear down to nothing on c;\drive, and then tried loading dos 6.22 but it won't seem to work right. I aslo have a copy up win95, with a supposed startup floppy, but that won't load either. I really don't think it sees the cd rom, but that still doesn't explain the dos not loading. I've been told if I can edit the bios I can make it look at the cd rom ?? Is this true ? Help ...... This has been keeping me up nights for 3 weeks now. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
