Upon booting up my old 386 computer, himem.sys reports that the A20 line is damaged. When I use the option to turn A20LINE off, the computer freezes whenever booting up. Is this because the A20 line is damaged physically? Also where would the A20 line be to troubleshoot this problem? The controller card? The motherboard? Please let me know if there's anything that can be done to remedy the situation without buying a replacement pcb.
