Discrepancy on disk SIZE: From Disk Manager the partition for D: drive is 28.99  GB, but from My computer  it is saying 24 GB

I  am running VMware maichine, The virtual machine has one virtual disk of 35 GB. The 35 GB disk is partioned into 6GB/28.99 GBB. 6 GB is C: Drive and 28.99 GB is  D: drive. but for For some reason from "My computer" it is telling me D: drive size is 24 GB. Does anyone know any fix for this.
