Backing up Registry with Ditto Easy 3200 tape insider

I run Win95 on a Dell Dimension XPS P166s with 32 MB RAM and a 1.6 GB HD.

I installed Iomega's Ditto Easy 3200 tape insider.  When I
tried to back up all files on C: I received the message -

"The Windows 95 Registry could not be backed up.  An error occurred accessing the information from the operating system."

What do I need to do to back up the Registry and continue to back up my C: drive?
