Browse All TopicsI want to set up a DOS Batch program that deletes the contents of a directory, and all subdirectories. I used del e:\*.* but the Batch program keeps stopping to ask for confirmation. Where can I find out the switches available for DEL so that it will not require a confirmation, or how can I rewrite the command line so it's smart enough to keep going?

well, you're certainly right that i didn't ask the right question. but, it still didn't work. when i did echo Y!deltree e:\*.*, it stops for confirmation of the delete on the first directory. same results when i don't do the echo Y. same with deltree e:\
how do i get rid of the need to confirm. are there switches on deltree?? since i threw out my old dos book, i have no clue anymore.
