We have a freaky situation here....We are running a small windows server 2003 environment and also have the Trend Micro office scan version 8.0. on our servers/Clients
Now at the moment we have a fast replicating outbreak of this virus WORM_OTORUN.CT as detected by our office scan server. ...We urgently need assistance to eliminate this harmful worm.
Our office scan server has quarantined thousands of worm logs and is consuming much of our disk space as we also have limited space available.
Any helpful ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks..

Here's Trend's description of what the worm does in the C variant, if the .CT variant is similar, you might be able to manually remove it with this information.: ro.com/vin fo/virusen cyclo/ defa ult5.asp?V Name=WORM% 5FOTORUN%2 EC&VSect=T
http://threatinfo.trendmic
The C variant infects removeable drives with an autorun (thus the name?) - It seems possible that the CT variant also infects network shares, but Trend has no information specifically on the CT variant. So, to be on the safe side and if at all possible, you should to disconnect the computers on the network from each other while you clean each one, or else you will just re-infect the cleaned ones the next time a share is accessed, etc.
Try isolating a single machine from the network (pulling the ethernet cable, disabling wireless card, etc.,) cleaning it with Trend, rebooting and running Trend again - if it comes up clean, then you repeat it with each machine, not connecting any cleaned ones 'till there are no infected ones left on the network.
